An Important Announcement from Our Owners

My Sister’s Books

13057 Ocean Hwy, Unit C, Pawleys Island, SC 29585

For decades, My Sister’s Books has been a fixture for avid readers in the heart of Pawleys Island. Your support has sustained one of our town’s greatest treasures. Now that we “Sisters” have become “Seniors,” we’re looking to write the next chapter for our small business. We are letting you know to see if you, or someone you know, are interested in becoming the next My Sister’s Books store owner.

When Fran and I opened the business in Oct 2002, we did so with the intent of establishing a long-standing independent bookstore. Even now, in this age of electronic this and digital that, our pre-owned bookstore remains a destination for locals and visitors alike.

The key ingredients for new owner success are all in place:

 A loyal customer base;
 Dedicated, hard-working, trained staff;
 Technology to accurately track sales and inventory;
 An appealing shopping environment for customers of all ages.

In addition, we are willing to work part-time for a mutually-agreed-upon transition period.

What makes a successful bookstore owner? Someone who…

… is passionate about books and the joys they bring to readers.
… loves people and wants to be of service.
… exercises good business judgment and understands what it takes to run a retail establishment.

Perhaps you know someone who’s always dreamed of owning a bookstore. It’s a dream come true for Fran and me.

If you would like to know more about becoming the next owner of My Sister’s Books, please contact our representatives at the Bookstore Training Group of Paz & Associates at (904) 277-2664 or by email at MKaufman@PazBookBiz.com. They will tell you more about our business and its potential and can provide you with the necessary training and education to succeed as a bookstore owner.

Thank you so much for your continued patronage and for your interest in seeing My Sister’s Books serve more generations of readers for years to come.

Best regards,

Bess & Fran
